The Deluxe King Room featured an impressive layout with ample space, perfect for spreading out after a long day. Great natural light from large windows added to the cozy vibe of the place, making it quite inviting.
The bed came off a bit firmer than I prefer, leaving me a touch sore after the night. The bathroom door struggled to close right, making privacy a bit less comfortable than hoped. With a TV signal acting up and a persistent hum echoing through the night, it could throw a wrench in some plans—especially with the rain outside limiting activities. Lastly, a faint sewage smell in the bathroom hinted at potential plumbing quirks, though it wasn’t overpowering. Just a few things to keep in mind.

The location is ideal, seamlessly blending the historical charm with contemporary style. Huge portions of locally sourced grilled meats were a delightful highlight at mealtime. the experience was marred by a persistent damp smell upon entering the accommodation, which worsened during our stay, and the noisy extractor fan in the bathroom detracted from the overall comfort. It was disappointing that the management seemed already aware of these issues upon checkout.

nice stay but early breakfast hours
The river view from my deluxe shepherd's hut was truly relaxing. The attention to detail in the room’s decor made my stay more enjoyable.
Breakfast ended too early at 9:15 am, making it difficult for a proper morning routine.

I loved the setting of the Little Mill Inn. It felt like a true traditional pub. The food blew me away. every meal was freshly cooked and delicious. Relaxing in the beautiful garden was a highlight, especially with the children enjoying the play area filled with friendly rabbits and geese. The room was spacious and clean with a comfy balcony, perfect for soaking in the surroundings. One downside was the entrance area. the door faced the toilets, which had a strong cleaner smell upon arrival. the light fixture at the bottom of the stairs was out, making it tricky for us, especially having crutches. While the staff were extremely accommodating in moving rooms and helping us with our baggage, I expected quicker fixes for the light issue. Sunday lunch was top-notch. we couldn't fault the dinner service. Drinks were reasonably priced, too, which is a bonus. The evening noise from the bar was a bit much, but overall, I think it's a great spot for families.

It wasn't exactly cheap, but the quality justifies the cost.

The Deluxe King Room offered a spacious retreat with a unique blend of rustic charm and comfort. The location benefits from stunning views, with walking trails nearby that allow for a peaceful exploration of the surrounding countryside.
Roads leading to the inn are steep and narrow, posing a challenge, especially in icy conditions. The cleanliness of the room left something to be desired, with a noticeable stain on the duvet and odd smells in the bathroom. the soundproofing was inadequate, as noise from the bar and neighboring rooms disrupted the tranquility during our stay.
